Host your own event.

Hosting a fundraising event is a powerful way to support vulnerable and marginalised people in your local community — and have some fun while you’re at it!

How it works

Make a difference - your way.

Whether you're flying solo or rallying your school, church, workplace or mates, you can create an event that reflects your passions and supports people doing it tough.

Getting started is simple:

  1. Choose your idea – fun, meaningful, or a little out of the ordinary
  2. Plan your event – set a date, gather your team, and build momentum
  3. Spread the word – share your story and invite others to get involved

There are no limits — let your imagination and creativity guide your way.

Involve your Community

Getting your local community involved is a simple and powerful way to increase your impact. Whether you're at home, work, or school, there are fun and meaningful ways to raise funds and support people in need.

Hold a garage sale at home, organise a sausage sizzle at work or host a bake sale at your school then donate the proceeds to Uniting to help us provide vital support to individuals and families doing it tough.

Every dollar raised helps create stronger, more connected communities.

Organise a morning tea

Gather your friends, family, or colleagues for a morning tea, either in person or virtually, and ask guests to donate what they would have spent on coffee and cake at a café.

Looking for something a bit fancier? Put on your chef’s hat and host a high tea or even a dinner party. Add a fun theme — like vintage, celebrity, or favourite book/movie — to make it extra memorable!

It’s a simple, social, and delicious way to raise funds for Uniting while enjoying quality time with others.

Host a night in

Bring your friends together for a cozy night in and turn it into a fundraising success! Whether it’s a movie night, trivia challenge, or games night, you can create a fun and memorable evening, all while supporting a great cause.

Ask your guests to donate what they would have spent on a night out — dinner, drinks, or tickets — and help raise vital funds for Uniting.
